Chessplace reads databases in pgn format, which is plain text.
Databases can be downloaded in pgn format or convert databases in other format like
cbh, cbv,
cbz, cbf, etc. into pgn format.
Most popular Computer Chess Applications have a function to convert in pgn format in a few seconds.
